Visit to Ottawa<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-18-font-size\" id=\"ember1965\">Last week, Danica from the Praxar team spent time in Ottawa visiting faculty and campuses at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uottawa.ca\/en\" type=\"link\" id=\"https:\/\/www.uottawa.ca\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-primary-color\">University of Ottawa<\/mark><\/a><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-primary-color\">,<\/mark> <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/\" type=\"link\" id=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-primary-color\">Carleton University<\/mark><\/a>, and<mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-primary-color\"> <\/mark><a href=\"https:\/\/www.algonquincollege.com\/\" type=\"link\" id=\"https:\/\/www.algonquincollege.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-primary-color\">Algonquin College.<\/mark><\/a> The goal was simple: connect with instructors, see learning spaces firsthand, and better understand how simulations fit into broader teaching ecosystems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-18-font-size\">One highlight of the trip was a visit to Algonquin College with <a href=\"http:\/\/linkedin.com\/in\/patrickcharlton1210\" type=\"link\" id=\"linkedin.com\/in\/patrickcharlton1210\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-primary-color\">Patrick Charlton<\/mark><\/a>, who teaches Sales and Marketing courses and currently uses <a href=\"https:\/\/www.praxar.com\/corpo\/en\/our-simulations\/interactive-marketing-simulation\/\" type=\"page\" id=\"2178\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-primary-color\">Praxar\u2019s Video Game simulation<\/mark>.<\/a> Patrick shared how his students move seamlessly between experience begins in Algonquin\u2019s Incubator Room, followed by a guided tour of the<mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-primary-color\"> <\/mark><a href=\"https:\/\/app.madewithcircuit.com\/algonquin\/ottawa-campus\/dare-makerspace\" type=\"link\" id=\"https:\/\/app.madewithcircuit.com\/algonquin\/ottawa-campus\/dare-makerspace\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-primary-color\">DARE Makerspace<\/mark><\/a><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-primary-color\">,<\/mark> where students see 3D printers, laser cutters, and other tools in action. From there, teams take on a hands-on challenge: designing a limited-edition video game keychain, similar to the types of exclusive items used in real-world pre-order campaigns. Students then reflect on how exclusivity, promotion, and product strategy influence marketing decisions, bringing the simulation concepts to life in a tangible way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-18-font-size\">During the visit, Danica also met with <a href=\"http:\/\/linkedin.com\/in\/seannoelhowe\" type=\"link\" id=\"linkedin.com\/in\/seannoelhowe\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-primary-color\">Sean Howe<\/mark><\/a>, who has been using <a href=\"https:\/\/www.praxar.com\/corpo\/en\/our-simulations\/interactive-marketing-simulation\/\" type=\"page\" id=\"2178\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-primary-color\">Praxar\u2019s Marketing simulation<\/mark><\/a> since 2021. A highly hands-on instructor, Sean works closely with both his students and the platform itself. His insights into how the simulation fits within the course as a whole \u2014 along with ongoing student and instructor feedback \u2014 play an important role in helping us stay aligned with the evolving needs of our users and continue delivering meaningful, well-supported learning experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-18-font-size\">Later in the visit, <a href=\"http:\/\/linkedin.com\/in\/matthewjerabek\" type=\"link\" id=\"linkedin.com\/in\/matthewjerabek\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-primary-color\">Matthew Jerabek <\/mark><\/a>joined to share more of the campus, finishing the day with lunch at <a href=\"https:\/\/restaurantinternational.ca\/\" type=\"link\" id=\"https:\/\/restaurantinternational.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-primary-color\">Restaurant International<\/mark><\/a>, the college\u2019s student-run dining establishment, where culinary and hospitality students gain hands-on experience as part of their program. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-18-font-size\"><strong>Visits like these reinforce what we see time and again: simulations are most powerful when they\u2019re part of a larger experiential learning ecosystem.<\/strong> Whether in a makerspace, an incubator, or the classroom, learning by doing is what truly resonates with students \u2014 and we\u2019re grateful to work alongside faculty
